I really struggled to sit through 3 hours of what can be described as abysmal and that is being complimentary. All the drama has disappeared, now it's a mere karaoke competition. I watched as far as Tyler Grady and could not take anymore.
No one amongst the females really excited me as far as their singing went, I think this years contest is more likely to find America's next model. If we are really lucky we might find a cocktail bar singer or someone to entertain at weddings.
All of the final 24 either sang the wrong song, had ridiculous chops, ridiculous by the way means sick, which in turn means amazing, unless those words come from Simon Cowells mouth, in which case they mean sick and ridiculous. Big pipes means big voice in Randy language. Anyone who didn't come under any of those categories were plain boring with no stage presence.
I think the Idol concept has run it's course, let's concentrate on the proper talent shows now like America and Britain's got Talent and send American Idol to where it belongs, in the archives of TV history.
For those of you interested, Janell Wheeler and Ashley Rodriguez were the first 2 girls sent home out of the 12 and the boys following them home are Tyler Grady and Joe Munoz.
