Why is this? The answer is very simple, we are not good enough. There is far more competition in the game than there was back in the the days when Fred Perry took less than 40 minutes to destroy his German opponent by 3 sets to love at Wimbledon in 1936. Let's not give up hope yet, Murray is only 22 years old and is unfortunate to be playing in what is without doubt the Federer era. Not necessarily unfortunate, I believe this is a great time for Muray to be playing the Swiss master, learning his craft, honing his game, let's not forget he has already beaten Federer 4 times out of 11. Murray will get stronger and stronger, he will master the strokes that are beating him at the moment, he is the best prospect we have had since 1936, yes I know Henman threatened but won few trophies and his name will always be associated with a mound of earth outside Wimbledon rather than what he did inside on court.
There was a brief glimmer of hope from a Canadian who we kidnapped as one of our own but soon released him when we discovered he was never going to pay the ransom. Andy Murray has made it clear in the past that he is playing for his homeland Scotland and after this latest defeat we are delighted to release you too.
We English will settle for the fact that we still don't have any grand slam winners. Murray is an outstanding talent and if it wasn't for some bad Swiss timing and a title is only a few serve volleys away. We could go on about lack of facilities and players having to go abroad for coaching and the right conditions, but the fact is tennis is just not our thing.
What does the expert think about Murrays chances of winning a grand slam. I mean Becker out of the three in the clip. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/8489968.stm

I had average hopes for South Africa this summer but it seems even our team captain is playing on a different side to the rest of his 'Mates'. Should they strip him of the captaincy? Most definitely, who should get it? There is only one other man for the job, Wayne Rooney. What do you think?
