Twitter topics get up close, personal and very boring

Twitter, when I started back in January seemed a lot of fun. Now I blame a lot of my mood changes and likes, or dislikes more to the point, on getting nearer to 50, but I can't use that as an excuse for my ever growing disinterest over the last 7 months of twittering and reading other peoples dreary tweets.

There are the advertisers and spammers, OK, we expect and accept them as a part of 'Internet life', however, do we really have to read from Davina McCall going on about nothing apart from Big Brother? yes OK I know I can block her and not see all her thoughts on a house full of idiots, I turn the TV over for exactly the same reason, but Davina surely you have something more to say to your fans.

Phillip Scofield bored me to tears with his account of how he put petrol in his diesel car, something which is pretty embarrassing to do, then own up to and as if that wasn't soporiferous enough he then posts pictures of him in an AA van! Come on, do any of you really find that dull material interesting?

Now one of my favourite typing tweeters to read WAS Stephen Fry, but it seems lately he has lowered the standards of his tweets to telling us that he is dieing for a pee and he hates speed bumps as he explains 'Still in cab. Clenched thighs so hard my testicles have shot up my neck'.

There are other things these celebrities are capable of talking about which are much more interesting, although having said that, some others which shall remain named like the pet shop boys, actually most bands come to think of it use twitter as a means of advertising their next gig, or album release, ah well, maybe it's just me that's boring.
